To munch, eat. Used to describe someone eating quickly, secretly, or in large quantities, usually in a cosy home setting (хватит хомячить под одеялом — “stop stuffing your face under the blanket”).
Я вот тоже приболел, но хомячить нечего, придется в магазин под дождь выбираться.
I also fell ill, but there’s no grub left, I’ll have to go out in the rain to the shop and back.
