To get out, to split, to clear out; to dump, to blame. Derived from the standard verb валить (literally to heap/topple) via the prefix с-. In everyday slang, it is most frequently used as a vivid, informal way to describe leaving a place quickly, escaping a boring event, or even emigrating from a country (пора сваливать отсюда — “it’s time to split from here”). Alternatively, in its literal or transitional slang usage, it means to pile things into a heap or to shift blame onto someone else (не надо сваливать всё на меня — “don’t go dumping it all on me”).
Надо было сваливать сразу как понял, что фейка не в настроении, но дернуло меня остаться.
I should have bailed as soon as I realised the ho was not in the mood, but I had to stay.
