Carries three main meanings: 1. it means to lose one’s sanity, act irrationally, or fly off the handle (ты что, ёбнулся? — “have you completely lost your mind?”); 2. it denotes a violent physical fall or crash (он поскользнулся и ёбнулся со лестницы — “he slipped and wiped out down the stairs”); 3. it expresses extreme shock or disbelief at sudden news (я просто ёбнулся, когда узнал цену — “I was absolutely shell-shocked when I found out the price”).
