To bash, to slog away, to pelt down; to hammer, to smash, to book it, to work one’s arse off, to down (drinks). Versatile verb capable of replacing almost any action involving high intensity, speed, force, or effort. Its meaning is completely dictated by context: 1. To labour intensely or continuously (я хуярю на двух работах без выходных — “I’m working my arse off at two jobs with no days off”); 2. To strike something or someone with force, or to shell a target (град хуярит по крыше — “hail is pelting down on the roof”; артиллерия хуярит — “the artillery is pounding away”); 3. To travel or run quickly somewhere (мы хуярили через весь город пешком — “we were hoofing it across the whole city on foot”); 4. Can mean drinking alcohol heavily, eating fast, or pouring something (хватит хуярить кофе чашка за чашкой — “stop chugging coffee cup after cup”).
