Crap, junk, garbage, load of old rubbish. Derived from the noun хуй combined with the expressive, abstracting suffix -етень. In everyday slang, it is an incredibly common, highly offensive, and vulgar noun used to describe an object of extremely low quality, absolute nonsense, a useless piece of junk, or a completely unappealing situation (выброси эту хуетень — “throw this piece of crap away”, or что за хуетень тут происходит? — “what kind of garbage is going on here?”).
Лазил сейчас по яндекс-маркету и он мне посоветовал открыть страничку про IPad. Я её открыл и охуел. Средняя цена в Москве — 55000 р. (пятьдесят пять тысяч рублей!) Моя немножко в шоке. Какой мудак потратит столько денех на такую хуетень? Особенно учитывая то, что её цена в Америке — 550 баксов.
I was surfing on yandex-market right now and received the suggestion to open a page on iPads. I opened it and was gobsmacked. The average price in Moscow is 55,000 r. (fifty-five thousand rouble!) Me slightly shocked. What idiot would spend that much dough on such a bloody widget? Especially taking into account that its price in America is 550 bucks.
