Bullshit, garbage, junk, crap, nonsense, a total mess, a useless thing/gadget. Derived from хуй, combined with the highly productive derogatory suffix -ета (used to denote a collective mass of poor-quality items or abstract nonsense, similar to суета or нищета). It is one of the most frequently used nouns in the Russian lexicon of explicit profanity. It has two main applications: first, to describe an object, text, movie, or product of incredibly low quality, utility, or value (что это за хуета? — “what kind of junk is this?”); second, to dismiss someone’s words, ideas, or an entire situation as absolute nonsense, lies, or a chaotic mess (он несёт какую-то хуету — “he is talking some absolute bullshit”).
