Crappy, shitty, goddamn, bloody, lousy. Derived from the verb срать (to shit), which traces back to the Proto-Slavic *sьrati. In everyday slang, it is an extremely common, highly expressive pejorative adjective used to vent frustration, anger, or deep contempt toward an object, place, situation, or person (я ненавижу эту сраную погоду — “I hate this crappy weather”, or убери свои сраные игрушки — “put your goddamn toys away”).
