1. To dig, appreciate. Often used in youth slang in following passive construction: мне (не) прёт от этого (“I totally/don’t dig this”); 2. To steal, nick (the corresponding imperfective is спереть); 3. To fuck, screw.
Начал смотреть этот советский сериал по Толстому (А. который), и окончательно понял почему меня не прет от многих классиков (скажем, не прет от Достоевского, Куприна и иже с ними, но прет от Чехова, думаю в целом понятно).
I started watching this Soviet series based on Tolstoy (the A. one), and finally understood why many classics don’t excite me (let’s say, Dostoevsky, Kuprin, and the like don’t excite me, but Chekhov does, I think it’s generally clear).
