To get smashed, to get wasted, to get plastered, to get hammered. Derived from the reflexive verb драться (to fight, to tear), which historically traces back to the Proto-Slavic root meaning to skin, tear, or pull. In the context of alcohol consumption, it originally meant “to tear oneself away” from reality or to drink to the point of completely tearing up one’s senses and stability. In everyday slang, it is a highly popular, expressive verb used to describe getting heavily, excessively, and visibly intoxicated (они вчера сильно надрались на вечеринке — “they got completely wasted at the party yesterday”).
Хотел найти несколько друзей юности и крепко с ними надраться.
I wanted to find some old friends from the old days and get pissed with them.
