мухлёж

мухлёж m [muhljož]

Cheating, scamming, swindling, foul play, rigging. Derived from the German verb mogeln (to cheat at games), which entered Russian via Yiddish or trade jargon, morphing phonetically into мухлевать (to cheat) and the noun мухлёж. In everyday speech, street slang, and card-playing circles, it is a highly common noun used to describe dishonesty, petty fraud, trickery, or the manipulation of rules to gain an unfair advantage (в этой игре сплошной мухлёж — “there’s nothing but cheating going on in this game”).

Не придти на него значит то же самое, что и выдать Жуликам и Ворам всенародное разрешение на дальнейший мухлёж и махинации.

Not to go to it equals giving the crooks and thieves an authorisation to further pursue their deceit and machination.
