Scum, scumbag, vile wretch; frost, slush (historical). A highly offensive, contemptuous noun used to describe an utterly despicable, loathsome person, or a group of such people (as it can function as a collective noun). Historically, it shares a linguistic root with мороз (“frost”) and originally referred to cold, slimy sleet or filth. Over time, it evolved into a scathing moral judgment.

The person acts different with everyone… scum to some, brilliant to others…
