Cool, awesome, dope, stellar. Derived from the adjective крутой (literally steep or tightly twisted, which historically shifted in slang to mean tough, intense, and eventually excellent). In everyday speech, it is one of the most popular and versatile positive markers in the Russian language. It is used to express admiration, agreement, or approval of a person, object, or situation (это был крутой концерт — “that was a cool concert,” or simply круто! — “awesome!”).
ЕС круто обломал Украину.
The EU neatly conned Ukraine.
