A little shit, a bastard, a filthy person; a sod, a bugger, a cheeky git. A highly common, expressive colloquial noun derived from the verb засрать (to cover in shit / to defecate). Its meaning depends heavily on tone and context: 1. Someone who is messy, dirty, or fails to clean up after themselves (a “mucky pup”); 2. A nasty, mean, or untrustworthy person (этот засранец меня обманул — “that little shit conned me”); 3. A cheeky, clever, or mischievous person, often used with a smirk (ну ты и засранец! — “you cheeky bugger!”). Female variant: засранка.
Замполит, засранец, первым взломал дверь радио магазина и утащил от туда приемник.
The political supervisor, that bastard, was the first to break up the door of the radio shop and took a receiver from it.
