Nonsense, stupidity; weed, dope. A highly versatile colloquial noun that fundamentally describes foolishness, wild eccentricity, or an absurd whim (e.g., дурь в голове — “crazy ideas in one’s head”). However, since late Soviet times, it has also become a major slang term for illegal drugs, particularly cannabis or other psychoactive substances. Depending on the context, it can refer to someone acting completely irrational or to the physical contraband itself.
