Bastard, miscreant, spawn of a whore. Derived from the prefix вы- (out, away, implying extraction) and the root блядь (whore, slut). In modern Russian, it is an extremely harsh, highly offensive vulgarity used to describe a despicable, malicious, or deeply hated person. Historically, it referred to an illegitimate child or the offspring of a promiscuous woman, but today it is used almost exclusively as a severe personal insult to attack someone’s character and descent.
