To scold, to reprimand, to give a chewing-out; to defeat, to thrash, to whop; to screw, to fuck. It has three primary meanings: 1. to severely reprimand, discipline, or lecture a subordinate (начальник вчера всех вздрючил за опоздание — “the boss gave everyone a massive chewing-out yesterday for being late”); 2. to heavily defeat an opponent in a game, fight, or competition (наша команда вчера вздрючила соперников — “our team totally thrashed the opponents yesterday”); 3. having rough sexual intercourse with someone.
