Simple-minded and usually strong bloke, that is easily manipulated by others. Rough-mannered individual. Initially means “cattle”, the word is loaned from Polish bydło (cattle, large livestock).

Какой народ, такие и судьи с милицией. Лучче бить адвокатов. А таких ментов — кишка тонка. Вот поэтому и живем в быдлостане.

Every nation has the judges and cops it deserves. It’s better to beat up lawyers. But those cops are sissies. That’s why we’re living in such a dump.
