брюлики

брюлики m pl [brjuliki]

Diamonds, ice, sparks, bling. Derived from the German loanword Brilliant (brilliant-cut diamond) with the popular, expressive Russian diminutive suffix -ики. In everyday slang, it is a widely used, casual, and slightly flamboyant noun for real diamonds or expensive diamond jewelry (откуда у неё такие брюлики? — “where did she get those kinds of diamonds?”). While it originally emerged within criminal argot and the luxury-obsessed underworld to describe high-end stolen loot, it long ago transitioned into mainstream colloquial speech, pop culture, and internet slang.

Кстати, пока мы тут сидели на жопе, в мире полностью пропал интерес к мехам и брюликам.

By the way, whilst we are sitting around on our arse the world has completely lost its interest in furs and bling.
