In everyday slang, it is the most common, raw, and expressive verb used to describe the act of vomiting, usually due to excessive drinking, illness, or intense disgust (его тошнило, и он пошёл блевать — “he felt sick and went to puke”). It is also frequently used metaphorically to describe a reaction of extreme revulsion toward something or someone (меня от этой музыки блевать тянет — “this music makes me want to puke”).
