Trinkets, baubles, bling-bling. A colloquial, slightly dismissive plural noun used to describe cheap jewellery, flashy accessories, or gaudy ornaments. Etymologically, it originates from the child-directed baby talk word цаца, shared across Slavic languages (such as Ukrainian цяця and Polish cacko, meaning “toy”, or old Polish czacz, meaning “prize/value”). Over time, this concept of a child’s shiny plaything shifted metaphorically to describe superficial, showy decorations or medals that adults wear to show off.

«Лолита» — очень трагичный роман о любви, а не порнушка! 8-мая просто ужасна. Вместо «Лолита» надо подписать «Плечевая». Или «исповедь. цветок асфальта».

Titty, boob. A crude, colloquial noun used to refer to a woman’s breast. It is derived from the older, dialectal word цица (meaning “nipple” or “breast”). While highly informal, suggestive, and objectifying, it is not an inherently aggressive insult, nor does it belong to the taboo category of mat. It is the direct linguistic equivalent of the English “titty” — improper for polite company, but very common in raw, everyday street talk.

To mooch, to cadge, to wheedle; to beg persistently. A highly expressive, colloquial verb derived from the noun цыган (“Gypsy” / Romani). It is used to describe the act of persistently begging, pestering, or sweet-talking someone into giving away small items, money, or cigarettes (хватиt цыганить сигареты — “stop mooching cigarettes”).

Слышу как из кухни доносятся звуки варки зелëного борща и ругание кота. Видимо опять с голодным видом пришëл цыганить еду, скотина мозхнатая.
