Floozy, hussy, gold-digger, lady of pleasure. Derived from the pre-revolutionary Russian underworld or student slang, likely tracing back to the French profiteuse (a female profiteer) or the verb профукать (to squander/waste). In everyday slang, it has two overlapping meanings: first, it describes a young woman of loose morals, a flirt, or a shallow party-girl who enjoys a lavish lifestyle at the expense of others; second, it can be used as a slightly dated, ironic, or mocking term for a cunning, unreliable, or superficial woman (эта профурсетка опять крутится возле богатых мужиков — “that hussy is hanging around rich guys again”).
